about the role

We're looking for a motivated and creative Intern Architect (AIBC) to join our small but dynamic architecture practice. If you’re practical, hardworking, ambitious, and ethical, we’d love to hear from you. Our studio is relaxed, self-driven, and collaborative — good ideas get built, both in projects across the province and in our own construction work here on Nelson’s North Shore.

f2a architecture + construction offers architecture, interior design, landscape design, and construction services. We focus on making direct improvements to the human environment while mitigating environmental impact.

Our work includes renovations of single-family homes, multi-unit housing, community buildings, and houses for simple living. We prioritize effective space design, simple structural systems, and the use of common, locally available materials.

Requirements

• be registered with the aibc or be eligible for registration

• be proficient with BIM software such as Bricscad, ArchiCAD, or Revit

• experience assembling construction documents

• general knowledge of the BC building code

• experience with building information modelling

• show inspiration in schematic design
