Around the corner from our office, upsprang a theatre collective, full of passionate actors and directors. We were enthused, and offered our assistance for the renovation of the old church they had purchased, one of the more handsome of the run-down buildings in our corner of Penticton.
The design included redirection of theatre-goers to the entrance for performance, playbills post boards, and a garden enclosure to allow for outdoor enjoyment of beer and wine at intermission. When the pandemic hit, funds were diverted to keeping the doors open and this project was not built, but the Tempest Theatre thrives again!
