f2a architecture + construction offers architecture, interior design, landscape design, and construction services. We focus on making direct improvements to the human environment while mitigating environmental impact.

Our work includes renovations of single-family homes, multi-unit housing, community buildings, and houses for simple living. We prioritize effective space design, simple structural systems, and the use of common, locally available materials.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is creative, technically skilled, and passionate about translating ideas into impactful built environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual designs, schematic drawings, and detailed construction documents

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants throughout all project phases

  • Prepare 2D and 3D presentations, renderings, and visualizations

  • Ensure designs comply with the BC Building Code and municipal regulations

  • Attend client meetings and assist in presenting design proposals

  • Support project coordination and documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field

  • Professional experience in architectural design

  • Experience with BIM software such as Bricscad, ArchiCAD, or Revit

  • Strong understanding of BC Building Code and municipal permitting processes

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Strong design, visualization, and technical detailing skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
