A modern community center with large windows, a blue and gray exterior, a covered entrance, bicycles parked outside, people walking and sitting, a car parked nearby, and trees in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

Castlegar Shelter

The Castelgar Homeless Shelter will provide a safe, permanent housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. Developed in partnership with BC Housing, the project combines private living spaces with shared amenities, creating a supportive and dignified environment for residents.

Designed with a human-centered approach, the shelter balances privacy and community. Each unit offers personal space, while shared areas—such as dining, lounge, and support facilities—encourage connection and provide access to essential services. The architecture prioritizes safety, accessibility, and comfort within a compact and efficient footprint.
