I grew up taking things apart to understand how they worked, and somewhere along the way that turned into a career spent building them back up again.  My path has moved through mechanical engineering, fabrication, carpentry, and project management, each stage less a credential than a different vantage point on how ideas become physical things.

That arc has left me most at home in the gap between design intent and what it takes to actually build it; where the interesting problems live, and where keeping everything flowing is its own kind of craft.

Off site I'm skiing, camping, or in the backcountry, and in my shop building things between.
